African Christians heading to Europe: reverse evangelisation or new places of worship?
A RFI programme (in French) recorded in an on-site studio at the 9th Meetings of African Studies in France, in early July 2026.
The programme looks at African Christian movements that are re-forming and settling in Europe through diasporas and migration: can we speak of “reverse evangelisation” from Africa to Europe, or of the creation of new cultural and religious spaces in the diaspora? André Narcisse NGON, Afstrat’s executive director and a political science lecturer and researcher at the Université de Douala, shares his insights on international relations and the re-creation of these spaces. Presented by Véronique Gaymard.
